Letter from the Publisher

May 1st 2010

Dear Readers,

My how time flies when we’re having fun!

It’s May already. Next weekend is Mother’s Day…God bless and keep all of our mothers whether they are here with us or Home with the Lord.

At the end of the month we will usher in the summer fun with the Memorial Day holiday weekend which leads into the imminent summer holiday from school. Again…God bless and keep all of the mothers through this trying few months.

This month we have some new choices for you, and the elimination of some old ones. We now have the esteemed Appointment director for three major conferences, Wanda Dyson as the columnist for Conference Corner. A new “how to” and “where to” for those looking for conferences and how to present at them.

We also received such a great response to Yolanda M. Johnson-Bryant in the Publicity-Everyone Needs It column last month that we’ve brought Yolanda on as our resident Publicity columnist. Be sure to check her out! She’s been in business for quite a while.

The Genre Happening column is moving from the “Best” tab to the “Brilliant” tab to fill the spot left by our departing columnist, Sara Salter in the Box Office column. She is in full time ministry work and the demands of her day come first. I’m sure you join with me in wishing Sara all the best as she tackles the daily demands of ministry.

Also it is time to bid a fond farewell to the Screenwriting 101 column. Although it had a good following, life has more pressing dictated for CJ. We also wish him well.

So that’s it in a big nutshell for the month of May, folks! Read on!

God bless!
